Here’s an actual email I received.

There are so many great things in this email.  Like, how it opens with “Beloved” (who says that?)

Or using spiritual guilt–which by the way isn’t much different from those pass-this-on-ten-people-or-you’ll-burn-for-it chain emails that still seem to be making their rounds, God bless them.

And probably my favorite part is the courageous doctors who fessed up about her dire condition.

It’s Friday, and we should be enjoying life.

Something tells me “Mrs. Jennifer Royce (Paris) France” is.

Beloved,

I am happy to know you, but God knows you better and he knows why he has directed me to you at this point in time so do not be afraid. I am writing this mail to you with heavy tears In my eyes and great sorrow in my heart, I want to tell you this because I don’t have any other option than to tell you as I was touched to open up to you. However, My names are Mrs. Jennifer Royce (Paris) France, I’m 53 years old  & suffering from a long time cancer of the breast . From all indication my conditions is really deteriorating and my doctors have courageously advised me that I may not live beyond the next two months because of how bad the cancer stage has reached a critical stage, which I believe you might be of help and for this reason I contacted you.

I have a family inheritance in the bank custody and the management wrote me to come forward or rather issue a letter of authorization to someone on my behalf since I am terminally ill. Otherwise, they will refer the fund to the state treasury.

I want a God-fearing person who can faithfully manage this inheritance as a donation for charity and act on humanitarian motives as my last wish.

Yours Sincerely

Ms. Jennifer Royce
